Indie boutique gets big makeover
The French luxury label Hermès, known for those coveted orange boxes and, of course, the Birkin bag, was founded in 1837. Louis Vuitton was founded in 1854; Chanel, in 1909; Balenciaga, in 1918; and Dior, in 1945.
But try to find a local fashion or beauty company that can boast the same storied heritage as these design houses, and you’d be able to count them on one hand. Which is why the 10th anniversary of Vancouver’s Beautymark is a major milestone—one being marked by a big move to a new location.
